Last week I went to Twenty One Pilots with my friend Maria. They are her favorite and so she was kind enough to introduce me to their music. Their concert was amazing! It was one of the funnest, craziest crowds I've been in. Hunter Hunted and NONONO opened for them and they were great as well! I can't thank her enough for such a fun experience!
Yes, the crowd is holding up the drummer.
So for Tunesday here is one of my favorite songs they performed. And hey, have a wonderful week! Happy Tunesday!
Sufjan is pretty amazing. This is one of my favorite songs. It's beautiful and it's even more beautiful because it is about Christ. It's a wonderful reminder that our Savior loves us so much that He sacrificed everything so we don't have to be alone. And lately I have felt that abundantly. I hope you do too. Happy Tunesday!
How could Ellie not be this week's Tunesday? Here's her newest song! I would highly recommend checking out her other music as well. Her song, "Explosions", was the first song of her's I fell in love with when I saw her perform it live at her first concert I went to. Happy Tunesday!
Because I love New York. Because Sara Bareilles is incredibly talented. Because I bought this album on vinyl yesterday. Because I love the lyrics and the verses especially in this song. Happy Tunesday!
Yesterday was Reagan's birthday (one of my best friends) and she is a complete lover of music. We got to hang out recently and it was so much fun and so, so needed. She showed me this song, so I figured it would be perfect for Tunesday! She is truly such a wonderful person and anyone who comes in contact with her is so very fortunate. I'm so grateful to have her in my life. She is an optimist, kind, hilarious, adventurous, and so full of light and love. So, Reag, this Tunesday is dedicated to you and your love of music! I love you so very much and hope you had a wonderful birthday!
Around 5 o'clock around here the babies get a little crazy. They eat at 6:30 so we have to figure out ways to hold them off. The best solution I've come to is music. I'll play guitar or we'll dance or I'll lip-sync to them. Here's the best part. They are babies. When I lip-sync to them they may actually believe that whatever voice is singing is actually mine. I pretty much get to be an incredible singer for whatever amount of time they will go for it. They, of course, are always my back up singers... in this week's case, Hayley Williams' back up singers. I have been loving Paramore's new album for awhile now and the babies really loved my performance of this song this week. At least I had a lot of fun. Happy Tunesday!
After going to Brooklyn for my first time recently this song seemed fitting. The day this song was released I listened to it while I was sitting on a train with my sweet dad. We rocked our way down the Hudson River headed into Manhattan. It was completely magical. This song will always remind me of New York. I keep falling in love with this state and all of its boroughs, towns, cities, buildings, and streets. Of course, I keep falling in love with Imagine Dragons too. Happy Tunesday!
We had a couple rainy days this week and that always calls for the album, Black Bear by Andrew Belle. Here's one of the songs off of that album. Happy Tunesday!
Katie Herzig this week because she helped produce Ingrid's song last week! All of her music was available for free download on NoiseTrade last week and her new single was released today! If that's not enough…she tweeted me and I was kinda freaking out. This was my gateway song to the rest of her music. Happy Tunesday!
First Tunesday ever! And I'm excited. This song is off of Ingrid's new album that comes out on April 15. It makes me smile and I hope it makes you smile too! Happy Tunesday!
